The series aims at shedding new light on humour in particular cultures. The series started in 2010 and so far four volumes have come out. Four more and in preparation.

The present volume brings together studies about the humour produced in the Romanian geographical and cultural area. The volume comprises twenty one chapters organized in four parts which cover aspects about how humour is produced and perceived at national level and in its individual manifestations: in everyday talk, in the media, in various workplaces, in literary works or in standard jokes. -

Polish Humour

It is divided into three parts - the first one offers a broad perspective on genres of humour, the second discusses more specific forms of humour, abd the third is the overview of Polish humour research in philosophy, literary studies, linguistics, folklore and psychology. The articles present humour across the board, starting from literature overview from the Middle Ages till modern times.
