Tertium publication scope

Our journal offers authors and readers a research scope that reflects the thematic range of the Tertium conferences and other publications. The Tertium statutory aim has always highlighted openness to various theoretical approaches and to perspectives typical of individual modern language studies. We are interested primarily in synchronic studies of language and a broadly understood socio-cognitive approach to language research, including cognitive linguistics, pragmalinguistic research and anthropological linguistics.

We welcome articles and book publications written in Polish and English. mainly in the following areas: theoretical linguistics, varieties and registers of the Polish language, translation studies, lexicography, intercultural communication, contrastive linguistics, humor studies,, and foreign language teaching. We especially encourage young researchers who take their first steps on their scholarly path to participate in our conferences and submit articles for publication - this is a good tradition of our Society and Publishing House.

We also publish dictionaries and textbooks in language and linguistics.

Tertium Publishing House is recognised by Polish MInistry of Education and Science as a category I publisher.

We also publish two international scholarly journals.

The European Journal of Humour Research (since 2013, a Scopus journal)

Tertium Linguistic Journal (since 2016, indexed in other databases).
