In order to counteract unfair publishing practices, the EJHR applies general ethical principles applicable in the humanities and social sciences, i.e. the principles of scientific integrity, fair play, the principles of confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, not infringing copyrights and not publishing offensive or untrue content.

• EJHR monitors compliance with the above principles by authors, reviewers and other persons involved in the editorial work.

• EJHR adheres to ethical and intellectual standards.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

In respect of Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), please be advised as follows:

The controller of the users' personal data, which we collect in connection with their activity on the website tertium.edu.pl and www.europeanjournalofhumour.org is Cracow Tertium Society for the Promotion of Language Studies, corresponding address: ul. 29 listopada 130 pok. 407, 31-406, Kraków, Poland (“Controller"). You can contact the Controller directly by e-mail at kontakt@tertium.edu.pl.

The legal basis for the processing of the users' personal data for the purpose specified in the consent is art. 6 sec. 1 lit. a) b) or c) of the Polish General Data Protection Act.

If the processing of the users' personal data takes place on the basis of consent, their provision is voluntary and therefore users have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. This withdrawal does not affect the processing which was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

The collected personal data will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes, and after that time for the period and to the extent required by generally applicable law.

In connection with the processing, they have the right to access their data, rectify their personal data, limit the processing of their personal data, and if it is possible under the general data protection regulation, also to transfer them, object to their processing and removal and the right to lodge a complaint to the Chairman of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office in the event of a breach of the provisions of the General Data Protection Act
