The journal offers readers unlimited and immediate access to the published content of scholarly research, thus supporting global scholarly cooperation.

publication ethics

In order to counteract unfair publishing practices, the Tertium Linguistic Journal enforces the ethical rules used in the humanities and social sciences, in particular those defined by the COPE Committee on Publication Ethics and contained in the COPE Code of Conduct (https://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct):

• TLJ monitors compliance with the principles of the above-mentioned Code by authors, reviewers and other persons involved in the editorial work.

• TLJ adheres to ethical and intellectual standards.

• TLJ maintains editorial standards.

• TLJ requires the authors of a publication to disclose the percent of the contribution of each individual author to its writing, with the author submitting the work being primarily responsible for its quality.

• TLJ advises authors that "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" are manifestations of scholarly misconduct, and that the institutions employing the authors and all interested institutions will be informed about any detected cases thereof.

• TLJ requires information about the sources of financing the publication, the contribution of research institutions, associations and other entities ("financial disclosure").

• TLJ documents all manifestations of scholarly misconduct, especially violating the rules of ethics which are considered binding in academia.

Duties of Editors

• subscribing to an independent and impartial publishing policy;

• making decisions about accepting contributions for publication by TLJ in an open and transparent manner;

• ensuring the confidentiality and security of personal data.

Duties of Authors

• The authors declare that they are familiar with the publication ethics adopted by TLJ;

• The authors submit a declaration that the their work is an original one, not infringing the rights of third parties, prepared independently and not published anywhere before.

• If the articles are coauthored, individual authors are required to specify the extent (percentage) of their contribution.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

In respect of Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”), please be advised as follows:

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the purpose specified in the consent is art. 6 sec. 1 lit. a) b) or c) of the Polish General Data Protection Act.

If the processing of your personal data takes place on the basis of consent, their provision is voluntary and therefore you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. This withdrawal does not affect the processing which was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

The collected personal data will be processed for the period necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes, and after that time for the period and to the extent required by generally applicable law.

In connection with the processing, you have the right to access your data, rectify your personal data, limit the processing of your personal data, and if it is possible under the general data protection regulation, also to transfer them, object to their processing and removal and the right to lodge a complaint to the Chairman of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office in the event of a breach of the provisions of the General Data Protection Act
